Student Activities

Vinton-Shellsburg High School accommodates approximately 500 students in grades 9-12 with a comprehensive program of study. The curriculum is aimed at the diverse academic and social needs of students, offering more than 100 courses in nine (9) major instructional areas. Team teaching, program area integration and interdisciplinary planning are important instructional goals of the professional staff.

Participation in co- and extra-curricular activities can enhance a student’s high school learning and overall educational experience. Students may choose from any of the following activities offered at Vinton-Shellsburg High School. Both co - and extra-curricular activities are subject to the Good Conduct Policy.
